Reports with shipping and tax by state

Is there a way to create a report that includes both the shipping charges and sales tax paid by customers from a specific state? The Geographic Sales Report does pull some of the data but not everything that is needed.

If the customer is using TaxJar for sales tax calculation, then TaxJar needs to retain the shipping amount because some states do not tax shipping while others do. TaxJar would need this information to file sales taxes to states that collect sales tax from sellers that MAY have economic nexis in states with sales tax.

Would an advanced custom search on orders not do this? I have a client that uses this for sales tax reporting, specific to orders placed within her given state during a particular time period. She sets the state and date range, and has the display set to show order total, shipping charge, and tax. She has to update the date range each time she runs it, but otherwise it gives her the info she needs to export it to csv and then use Excel to calculate the product sale total (order total - shipping charge - tax) and then the tax total for reporting.

It should get you the data, but if you need to do the calculations, you could locate an Excel worksheet that does this (I've seen them, don't remember where.) Then just export by date whatever criteria you need.
