    Redirect Refresher Course Needed

If a store is using the URI Management and the Canonical for SFNT is "/" - how do I redirect the old long-style https://www.domain.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc to "/"?

lesliekirk this would need to be done via htaccess .. Is there a reason you need to redirect the URI? Is the page getting indexed? Do you know how the page is being found, because if there are no links going to the site it should not be indexed.

That is a really good question. The person handling SEO for this particular site has requested I redirect an old-style link to the old-style storefront https://www.domain.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc (which made no sense to me).

I was thinking that part of moving to the URI Management system also included something in the .htaccess file that redirected the merchant.mvc to the "/".

We don't often use this tool. However, every time there is a need I find it frustrating because it is not at all intuitive.
