Your example shows that if statement outside the foreach loop. I believe that needs to be within the foreach loop or it would be null.

The l.settings:group:part_count is actually not apart of the parts array so it is in the correct location. The part_count variable is shown in the groups array so that you can determine if there are parts in the parts array without checking the array.

I have another Inventory Kit question - if one of the items in the kit sells out - is the kit still available or will it be marked as sold out?

Add yet another question (after the "sells out" question). How do you include the kit contents in the Order Processing Order screen?
