Is there any way to exclude the product attributes from Volume Pricing? Store owner wants to be able to offer the Volume Pricing discount just on the product but exclude all of the attributes. In the case of this site, the attributes are add-on services that should not receive any sort of discounts including Volume Pricing and Coupons.

Not sure if this will help, but: can the client use a dollars-off discount, instead of the percent-off type? In that case, I think the attribute selections won't affect the discount.Kent Multer

Kent Multer suggestion seems to work great for the Volume Pricing Price Group. Is there a way to prevent the Price Group Coupon from discounting the product attributes and just discounting the product price?Leslie Kirk

I don't think there are any price groups that apply percent-off discounts only to the product price, not the attributes. It's an interesting concept; I can see how it would be useful in some cases. If your client has the budget, I can provide a custom discount module that will do that. But with the built-in modules, using dollars-off instead of -ercent-off is the only way I know of to do it.Kent Multer

Absolute pricing is not the way to go. It does some very strange things including discounting the product to $0.00. I gave a very brief thought of trying Inventory Variants until I saw the number of variants that one single product was going to have - 767356819 - and I thought the bird diaper site was a lot...Leslie Kirk

I misunderstood what Nick had told me and I thought I would be able to set up Inventory Variants and exclude the Attributes from the Volume Pricing. The attributes are more like add-ons but the easiest/neatest way to set this up was to use Attributes.
I should clarify that this will be more of a "semi-custom" project, modifying a module that's already in use in several stores. So the price won't be as high as it would for an entire new module.Kent Multer
