Experiences with 10.08?

I've seen very little posted or in bug reports about experiences after updating to 10.08.. Any feedback from those who have taken the plunge?

Since the timing was so close to BFCM I was holding off to make sure there weren't any big bugs, but if all's looking good then I'll probably update soon to take advantage of the new isolated js in branches in time for our upcoming promotions.

No problems on my end.

I had to remove a deprecated module (toolkit) before I could finish the install.

I had to find a couple of features that were moved in the UI.

Nothing you couldn't handle.

alphabet ohh, if Toolkit prevents completion of the update I’ll have to make sure all my toolkit code is replaced.. I may have lingering snippets here and there. Thanks for the feedback!

You don't need to remove toolkit. Just update it. That's what we did.

Ditto - update the module. Make sure you get the most current update. Miva had to release an update to the update.

The Tess's Review module also pops a warning that it needs to be updated (as applicable)

IMHO, you should apply the campsite rule and clean up the few lingering snippets while you can. The toolkit is a bit of a resource hog anyway.

Since its a 90 day window, most of our clients are waiting for 2024. Its their busy time of year for both managing the site and their business period. That could be one of the reasons for lack of input.

Other than having to update Toolkit, I have seen no issues.

No issues for me but I removed toolkit some time ago so no issue there. I was hoping that isolation would also remove ready theme items that are not for the current theme.
A man can dream I guess.

I've noticed a couple things...

The Took Kit update changed the way some of my internal page links worked.. I had to update some hard coded link code. I think however this is partially caused by custom module code that needs to be updated to work with the Tool Kit changes.

Also, Miva 10.08 considerably slowed down the internal admin search for me.. Now when I search for a location or page in admin using the top search bar I get some initial results and then have to wait an unusually long time for the "page" results to be displayed.

You might have bumped into a small bug that's caused by empty results fields in searching custom fields. There will be a fix next week for that.

Was just updating a site and got this message (news to me...never even heard of this feature).


Crawler Product Cache must be updated to v1.0002 or newer prior to upgrading to Miva Merchant 10.08.00

So, the question is, how do I get this module?

Bruce - PhosphorMedia It looks like the link on https://docs.miva.com/miva10/reference-guide/crawler-product-cache-module was in incorrect. I updated it to point to the most recent version of the module in the apps store.
