How to deactivate Coupon Code field

I've been asked to remove the Coupon Code field at checkout for the time being. Is there a simple or "best" way to do that? Thanks!

You could wrap it in an <mvt:comment></mvt:comment>

yup, this best. avoid using html comments for stuff like this as it will still be in the body of the page, just not visable
