What to do for payment method for a free order?

Setting up some free samples that also have free shipping, but it still needs a payment method selected. If I select credit card, itll require that the card details are filled in. Is there a module or something that I can install for free payment methods?

heatherwebdev The default Shadows Framework will allow you to complete a purchase of a product without selecting a payment method. Are there any customizations to the checkout process of your store? The Shadows theme has this conditional on the customer information page (OCST): https://github.com/mivaecommerce/sha...er.mvt#L19-L28

You should also confirm that in the admin under Settings > Shipping Settings > Settings tab in the Shipping Rules section that the Skip Shipping/Payment Selection for Free Orders is checked.

I checked the option for ship shipping / payment if the order is free, but is there any way to limit that for domestic vs international? We'll want to charge international orders shipping

Testing this out more, I'm not sure this method will work for me. Is there a module that could be used to allow an order to process with 0 price but still have shipping methods be selectable?

You should be able to accomplish this by using Shipping Method Rules. You likely need a free shipping method that only applies to US and the sample products. Then a second shipping method that is limited to outside US. This way when someone puts in an international address, because shipping is not free, it will show them the shipping options to select and force payment.

What would I use for the payment method though?
