    Manage Quotes installation quirk

I wasn't paying attention to the active branch when I installed the Manage Quotes module. The first warning should have been having to add the Item to the BASK page. The second warning didn't come until I tried to email a quote, I kept getting an error message telling me I could do it "at this time". Well the lightbulb started to flicker when I tried view the Quote History Page and was told "We're sorry but it appears that the "QUOH" page is not available at this time." The funny thing, the quote attempts made it to the admin. I started looking and discovered that 7 templates that the module created were not in the branch I wanted them in.

Okay, so I thought, well there is supposed to be a way to "push" these pages to production. I thought I could "copy" the Page. I selected the Page template, then Copy Page. I changed "New Page" to "Another Branch", selected the Destination Branch (which was the one where it really needed to be), and clicked Copy Page. Imagine my confusion (which turned to disappointment) when I got this error message:

I triple-checked - there was no way to even select the combination the error said I did. Ugh...

Somehow the Copy page to a branch thing started working (must have been Nick's magic touch). Now all 7 templates have been copied into the correct branch. Now I have a new issue. The 5 email templates are not showing up in the Emails > Quote Emails (they are in the branch that I mistakenly installed the module to):

How do I get them "linked up"? I think this is why I'm getting an error when trying to submit the quote.

lesliekirk You can use the merge feature in template branches to merge the Module 'quote' installed changeset to the branch you want the quote feature to be installed. Merging this changeset will add the necessary items and templates to the branch.

Thanks Nick - may I suggest that a warning be placed in the docs? Make sure you are installing the module in the branch you need it in. It might also be beneficial to have a side set of notes "In case you pulled a Leslie, these are the easy steps to fix it"

lesliekirk There is already documentation there but if you don't read all the docs it might be hard to find:

Nick I was thinking more in terms of the warning being part of the Manage Quotes (or any module) installation docs. A link to the docs you just provided would be perfect. As you mentioned, some people may not read all of the docs - perhaps just the module's installation docs not knowing that danger lurks behind door number 2.
