Category Facets on CTGY Page

Has anyone come up with a way to get the Category Facets to display on the CTGY Page (which is contrary to how it functions). I'm trying to replace SearchSpring functionality with the native Miva search and this is a stumbling block

Has anyone come up with a way to get the Category Facets to display on the CTGY Page (which is contrary to how it functions). I'm trying to replace SearchSpring functionality with the native Miva search and this is a stumbling block

This is still a huge stumbling block and it has a second issue. I need to display the actual category and not the "nested" version. Why does the parent category even need to be displayed? I think it's more important to display the category the product is found in, versus having to click a "nested" link that then displays the category the product is in.

I still need to be able to display the categories the product can be found in on the category page - ugh - do I have to go ask for these as "Dream features"?
