    Page Builder - Per Category?

Is it possible to use Page Builder per category? I have a single category that would benefit tremendously if it could use PageBuilder to change out content. I don't want this same message on all the other categories.

    Hey Leslie,

I think you could do that by simply creating an alternate CTGY page template for that particular category. I have several CTGY page layouts that I use for desired layouts and then I use Content Sections to store sections of code that are common between them - that way I don't need to make the same changes to multiple pages when updates are necessary.

From your forum posts it looks like you're moving along very well with Page Builder. I've just recently started experimenting with it on my dev sites. A couple small hiccups, but I can already see huge potential.

I thought of that but then I wind up having as many alternate pages when it would be easier to assign it to the category.

I would've suggested the same as Psydde. Why isn't that ideal?

Sometimes I wish I had a way to internally tag my posts to remind me which site I was asking this for...now to try and remember why I thought this would be a huge hassle...

I'm just starting to use pagebuilder and I think the per category would be great in some instances....for example I'd love to show a carousel the best sellers for the specific category that the customer is on. Like I sell a lot of mens belts but if a person is on my women's handbag page...we'd want to show things from that category. Or even on the product page, show categories that go with those products.

You could add a "Product List" component to the CTGY and/or PROD page, then set the "Product List > Products > Product Set" to "Assigned to Category", keep the "Which Category?" on the default of "Determined by Page Items", change the "Product List > Sort By > Default Sort" to "Best Sellers", and then just change the UI elements as desired (ex Set the "Heading Text" to "Best Sellers" disable the Facets & Details, remove the Sort By & Per Page options, etc.) and it should work as you requested.

When visiting the CTGY page, it will load the best-selling products from the category you are viewing. When you visit the PROD page, it will load the best-selling products from the current-product's canonical-category or breadcrumb/previously-viewed category.
