Checkout Issues - Credit Card not being accepted

Using Miva 4.13
Have used for numerous 7+ years with no problems. In the last few weeks though, we have had several people calling stating their credit cards are not being accepted, maybe about 1 a day. We are still getting other orders though. I had order takers ask what Browser they are using, and so far all have been Internet Explorer version 8 (when the customer knew what they were using). What should I be looking for to get this fixed? We are in the process of upgrading to the newest Miva, but due to other projects, it won't be completed until next spring.

We import everything into our stand alone system in house and charge the cards from that system. So no cards are charged online. We had been using Credit Card Payment With Simple Validation

but about 4-5 months ago we started using a module from Viking Coders which was a simple version of the simple validation called
Credit Card Payment w/ Extra Fields

So, it's not that the card won't charge and go through, it's that the input field won't take the number.

Looks like the validation of the vikingcoders module is different from before. Compare the 2 module settings!
