USPS stock module dead

Running MM v4.2406 U.S.P.S. Online Rate Calculation (Domestic & International) module under MM: v4.23 / MVM: v5.06 and OpenUI: [4.958/4.984]. No USPS charges are being made against orders. aka... comes up with:
Shipping to be determined later: 0.00

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a known issue that seems to have been caused by USPS that is effecting multiple shopping cart applications in addition to Miva Merchant.

definitely, our viking coders advanced usps module is dead too. no word yet on a fix. but can international customers still get an order to go through?

does anyone think this error is related to the USPS issue? no international orders will go through after 1/1/2011. we didn't change anything. here is the error. if not related i'll start a new thread. we only calculate tax for NY state and don't use a gateway, manual cc process done after the order is placed. thanks.

If you're store is eligible for updates, contact Support, we have an updated module.

And the v4c Viking Module update has also been published - click "Check for Update" in the module admin.

You might want to open a support ticket with them, to make them aware of the issue. I think they might be focused on the Advanced module and be monitoring the forum at the moment.

Hi Psydde,

The old "USPS International" module was End-of-life 3/25/2008, and is replaced by our USPS Advanced module. We will not be issuing any updates to the retired module.

Thanks for the response.. I was afraid that might be the case.

I've now got our live Miva 4 store using Miva's USPS Shipping module, but I do have Viking's USPS Advanced module installed and updated in our development site so that once my Miva 5 site upgrade is finished it will be ready to go.

How do you know if your store is eligible for updates?

In 5.5 it shows you in admin, in 4.x you'll need to call us.

It generally depends on who your host is?

I've been running a 4.24 store for years, and discovered the need to update the USPS module when an international customer contacted me saying he couldn't check out.

I called Miva support, the helpful lady I spoke with said my domain's hosting service (pair.com) does not have a current license, so sorry, no updates for you, but if I'd like to get the new 4.2407 all I have to do is buy the $399 license.

Is it possible for me to purchase the 4.2407 module? If not, does any third-party vendor have a USPS module that works with Miva Merchant v4.24, Miva Engine v4.1400 ?

One other option you have is to move to a supported host. We can't keep supporting pair.net for free when I don't believe they've been a partner in almost 10 years now.
