Storeman 4 "Database is too big" error HELP?!?!?

Something strange is going on when I am trying to update my Miva 4 store using Storeman 4 Advanced.
The database file is roughly 2,800K before I start importing a spreadsheet of roughly 4000 items. The database size grows to over 1,048,000k and errors out. I have packed the database using the Storeman 4 Compact database and still does not work.
I have also tried to open a copy of the database using Access but it tells me it is an invalid file type.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried submitting a support ticket via Storeman?

Sorry, didn't realize it had hit it's end of life. I can truly understand why Storeman has been so important to you. Have you tried the old-fashioned way of exporting products? Or is there something very specific that you have come to rely on? Another question, I'm sure you've heard a zillion times - have you considered upgrading to MM5.5? Is there something you absolutely need in MM4?

Mike,

That is an incorrect interpretation. We simply require StoreMan users to be on the current version of the product. We don't support versions of the product that are over 4 years old. We've had several updates since that version (eight to be exact). The newer version might very well solve the problem, but regardless we can't effectively support myriad versions of the product.

Ok cool, I was misinformed. I will purchase the upgrade and see if that fixes it.
