Re: Export Catalog to Miva Merchant 5.x XML File
I'm not aware you can - we do the entire xml export and edit out what we don't need.

You can always just export the 4 data to xml, open it up in a text editor and clean it up. For example, replace tabs with spaces, remove /r/n, and then delete everything in that file that doesn't related to Categories, products and attributes.
Note...I forgot the specifics, but you might not be able to bring over the headers and footers for categories/products with that version.

Export Catalog to Miva Merchant 5.x XML File
I need a refresher course on how best to use this module Export Catalog to Miva Merchant 5.x XML File. I know it creates an Export Store file that can be imported into a MM5.5 store. My ultimate need/goal is to replace all the products in a MM5.5 store with the products and inventory from a MM4 store.
My first question is - will it interfere with the look & feel that is already in place? (My answer would be no since it's not the OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta module).
Second question - will it overwrite all the data that has already been populated into the MM5.5 store? I need to remove all the current products in the MM5.5 store that is being developed and update the MM5.5 store with the data from the MM4 store (hopefully it includes all the inventory levels)
Second question - part B - will the XML file overlook some of the issues in the product export dat file? The dat file from the store I'm working on has a ton of extraneous tabs in the Product Description field (caused most like from a copy & paste) there are returns \r\n that are breaking the file when opened in Excel. Whenever one of these pesky \r\n shows up, it pushes what comes after it into the next cell (in an Excel spreadsheet).
The export shows that it includes:
Store Settings
Groups and Users
Countries
States
Categories
Category Hierarchy
Products
Related Products
Attribute Templates
Upsold Product Settings
Affiliates
Customers
Availability Groups
Price Groups
Module Settings
My third question - how is the export of Module Settings going to affect the MM5.5 store that is in development?
Fourth question - is there already a tutorial on how best to use this export module? If so, could the link be reposted? I've noticed that some of the links to items previously posted in the forum are now broken.
Many thanks!
Leslie
