I just changed a customer's country.dbf to add Serbia and while it's in there, it's not showing up in the admin or customer interfaces. Is there something additional that needs to be edited in a different file?

Edit: pack domain afterward and then it shows up.

You should manually edit it.

I've just installed core-17, this still isn't updated. Will it be in an update any time soon or should I go ahead and edit the table manually?

Here are the codes for the countries that have replaced Yugoslavia:

Serbia (or Republic of Serbia) = RS
Croatia = HR
Bosnia-Herzogovina = BA

I'm running 5.5. I have a customer from Montenegro who's unable to get his payment to process, as his country doesn't exist in our store and Yugoslavia is invalid. We just converted our data to MySQL. If I go in and edit the appropriate entry, will this break anything now or when a core update comes along to fix it? Thanks!

Sounds good, but could you make it so existing countries are BOLDED with a warning on the screen about Country Codes? I can see already people's shipping calcs not working, only to find they messed with the country codes...

To avoid problems the Country Codes could remain non editable.

Ideally the list should be at store level, it would allow localisation within a mall

Having a second thought on that ... One editable list should be Ok as countries name can be written within that list according to their local spelling.

actually, if you changing things...might want to allow that list to be edited. (A lot of countries are spelled differently overseas<G>)

Cool, because I just installed core-14 last week. While you are at it, there's also Kosovo, Montenegro, and I'm not sure what else.

Why does anyone need to use a DBF editor? That name change has been in effect since October 2006, can't this be rolled into a core-update or something?
