At this point in the game, I would advise anyone using the MOM app from Dydacomp to hold off on updating their store to PR7 unless you like putting in your customer order data manually because Dydacomp does not have an updated export module ready and don't plan on having one for months. That would be this module: mailordermanager5.mvc. I have two store[s] that are not functioning correctly because I didn't do my homework to find out that this module hasn't been updated. Shame on me. On the other hand, if anyone has the ability to update this module for me, I would be extremely interested to get my client's sites back on track. I would probably wager that Dydacomp would love to have the help also since they cannot seem to get current.

Re: Dydacomp - MOM and PR7
The frustrating thing (and maybe something Miva can help with?) is that as far as I can tell the issue is the new extra address fields ruining the mapping of the MOM Connector. If Dydacomp could take 10 minutes and make that change to their module, all would probably still be well.

Re: Dydacomp - MOM and PR7
No update on MOM at this point as they're still not partners with us and spent a week arguing with me about that instead of fixing the problem. I believe they're getting setup on Monday with the partner program and I cant imagine the fix taking more than a couple hours once they're actually working on it.

Re: Dydacomp - MOM and PR7
Rick,
You have now experienced what we refer to as the 'Dydacomp Experience'. Bashing aside (and boy could I bash), I would like to make a simple request in your dealings with them. Please push to have this fix made available to all MOM users, not just the ones with support contracts. This is Dydacomp's normal way of doing business, and it is quite despicable. Many MOM users do not maintain their expensive support contracts because Dydacomp never actually follows up to our calls and emails, but holds us hostage by making bug fixes only available to those who pay support fees.
As you mentioned, this should be a simple fix. With the number of licenses my company has though, it will cost us over $2,000 to renew our support contract and gain access to it. I'm sure several other businesses are in similar straits, and do not have the extra money laying about.
Exert whatever pressure you can please.
Thanks,
-Mike

Re: Dydacomp - MOM and PR7
I can't speak for anyone else, but 6 years ago when we were researching solutions that integrated with MIVA, Amazon, Yahoo, and eBay, their platform was very robust and seemed to be a great solution which could scale up quickly from hundreds to thousands of orders per day.
Back then if you sold across multiple channels M.O.M. looked great on paper and allowed you to add functionality much like MIVA does; with modules you could buy and install. In this way they kept the initial cost low, with the ability to add as you grow.
Unfortunately, they got trapped in a cycle of adding functionality ahead of fixing very fundamental shortcomings of the program. At one point we hired a partner of theirs called MOM Helpers and paid for 3 days of on-site assistance (we had to pay for airfare, hotel, meals, transportation). Although MOM Helpers was the only approved outside support company, the tech got blown off for the three days he was at our facility, and ultimately was unable to get ANYONE inside the company to acknowledge what he agreed was a fatal flaw in a module we had paid thousands for and never worked.
They have always been about selling software, not developing and supporting it.
Good luck and Godspeed,
-Mike
