    Having the same issue. API stays put for awhile, then disappears. At first I thought it had something to do with going back and forth between the home and advanced settings links in admin utilities; sometimes the API would disappear, sometimes it stayed.

    I also use a test email and after reading Mark's post, decided I had better check again. Sure enough, the API is gone again.

    There are no apostrophes.

      Can you send me login information, I want to take a look. Does it happen every time or does it save sometimes then suddenly disappear?

        It seems to be random and right now it is working. It seems random but that's because I have only been randomly checking on it. Will send info shortly.

          No changes and the admin hasn't even been accessed for mailchimp but the key has vanished again.

            You & I seem to be the only ones complaining about this problem.
            Do you have the same key assigned to more than 1 store?
            I could not find any information about the need for a separate key for each store (same domain).
            I thought this might be the problem, so I generated a new key for my 2nd store.

            It's been 1 whole day and so far so good.

              One key one site and only one mailing list. I had not reuploaded the loading graphic until today though. Maybe it has something to do with it

                  You & I seem to be the only ones complaining about this problem.
                  I had the same problem several times along with some jquery conflicts so I disabled it until I had a chance to look at it again.

                    Hi Mark, It's has only been 2 days, but after I generated a second key for store 2 the keys are staying put. (still 1 newsletter)
                    I thought that was the issue, but maybe not since you are having the same problem with 1 store with 1 key.

                    If you figure it out PLEASE be sure to share with the rest of us.

                        Hello, I have been testing the issues and trying to figure out the disappearing act the api-key is doing. I have a couple questions.
                        1. How do you know that your api-key is missing? For example, you are on the admin and you notice its gone or you are on your store and you are notified that it went missing?

                        2. Does your list disappear as well as the api key?

                          I just try going to the site and entering my e-mail address to see if it gives me the error or tells me I am already subscribed.

                          Once the API key vanishes so does the list just as though you had just installed the module.
