Is the Additional Images tab only for uploading and displaying pop-up box images or can it be used to upload other images?

Re: other Additional Images
Hey, Rick.
I'm researching if it's possible, with the help of the MagicToolBox MagicThumb script, to implement a feature that, if the user mouses-over an attribute, the product image changes and I was wondering how the customer should upload other large product images that won't be used for the pop-up box.

I don't think this is going to work.

Re: other Additional Images
Yes this should be possible with some custom JavaScript and a naming convention for your fullsize images. It may be possible to integrate it to Image Machine, but it would be much more difficult and you may have to do it on click vs on hover.
This is probably a 6 to 8 hour project to get it all working. Our professional services team is available to help if you need some help getting it setup.

Re: other Additional Images
Actually, I didn't know this is mostly already available using Image Types, Inventory Variants, and Image Machine. It's a click instead of a mouse-over but I'm sure my client will be ok with that. I'm watching the video, now. https://vimeo.com/44675548

Got it working! Thanks!
I didn't create any image types. Do I need to since there's only one angle, one attribute - color ?

Re: other Additional Images
When you load images through the Miva FTP in imagemachine the default directory is graphics/00000001. Is there any way to change this? to say graphics/00000002 where all our large photos are. I know we can set up a type and FTP the photos up to the 02 directory but I want some of the employees to just use the Miva system. Thanks,

Re: other Additional Images
The 00000001 and 00000002 directories relate directly to the number of Miva Stores you have setup. Since you have directories, my guess is that you have 2 stores configured within your Miva Merchant admin. (Or perhaps you deleted a store at one point)
When you upload images via the miva admin it will always upload to the store folder related to that store and there is no way to change this. If all your images are stored in 00000002, then when you upload images via the admin they should also be going into 00000002.

Re: other Additional Images
There is only 1 store and never was a 2nd store. We are from the old school and always used 2 folders (1 for thumbs, 1 for larger product). This all was prior to new imagemachine and we just copied the existing photo directories over to the new site. We are now using the imagemachine and wanted to reference our 002 folder since we are using hundreds of larger photos with image machine. I guess we could copy all the photos over to 001.Thanks,

Is the ability to create sub-directories only going to available to the image directory that was created in the initial setup of the store? For example 00000001?Leslie Kirk
