Amazon Payments error at checkout.

I got this message "The seller identifier that you have provided is invalid. Please use a valid Seller Id". yet all info is the same as in the checkout by amazon. Not sure what im supposed to look at as to why. Set back to sandbox to prevent this popup error message.

I think you need to go through the process from scratch and not just copy over the data from what I understand, but since that error comes from Amazon, if just reconfiguring the account doesn't work you (or we) will need to reach out to them.

I doubled checked Rick at admin level at Amazon and the info as far as I can tell is exact. The info is the same in the other tab and we had no issues, so im not getting what could be wrong.

I just got this back from Amazon:

To answer their question, they’ll need to enroll for the new Amazon Payments service here:

They should use their existing Checkout by Amazon account, and the new service will be added. The same keys are used for both services, so their configuration should start working as soon as they’ve completed registration.

Not as of yet... Thought perhaps you guys would have an answer before I spend x amount of frustrating time listening to bad elevator music and playing the blame game.

The crazy thing is, in production the error pops up as soon as you enter checkout, not just when you hit the amazon button. Sandbox will stop that from occuring, and go to Amazon as usual.

This appears to be making an entire new registration. Is that right?..Some places like my company name is not letting go thru stating it is already used by another Merchant.

You will be creating a separate merchant account for the new service, that's to keep the orders you process with each system separate. When you register, you should be able to use your existing account, see the highlighted link the screenshot here:

You will be creating a separate merchant account for the new service, that's to keep the orders you process with each system separate. Hi Robert,

Using the link above, using mt stores credentials, heading to step 2 it asked me for my display name which ended up stating already in use. That's when I stopped. Now though, when I log in it shows an incomplete status, payment info gone. Looks like my account is gone at this point and needs to be completely redone.

I finally got it fired up..Yet one issue, there are 2 buttons showing "Paywithamazon" and one under it "paywithamazon sandbox"...

The sandbox button will open up inline, the other does nothing.
Module is set for production.

We are having similar problems, as well as others. After logging in (in sandbox mode) I get some other errors (see attached pic).

Error - "Buyer is not associated with OrderReference. Buyer must sign in before you render the widget."
Error - "This session is not valid. Please re-start the checkout process by clicking the Pay with Amazon button."

So I tried disabling it for now and got another error that it was in use by Store Morph modules:
