I figured I could create an email but how do I set it to send automatically when the Cancel button is clicked? I created an email which I wanted to also include the order contents, but since the order has been cancelled the items don't appear in the email. Any way around that?

You can't do it automatically. You have to manually trigger the email.

We do it manually and use a custom order field to populate the Email with any notes about who/why/what about the order was cancelled/changed. Not used much so nobody has complained about the automation level.
I'm really surprised that there isn't an email tied to the cancel button
There is something coming next year in 9.1x that will do this (and a lot more) but I have to agree, I don't think I've ever heard this asked for before.

Trying to replace the features of a third-party module the store previously had (and doesn't really want to go back to).
"manage orders > click on an order number. There will be tabs on top of the order details window."
The tabs I see are:
- Credit card payment with simple validation
- Order fulfillment modules
If I click on the order fullfilment modules tab, I see a few different modules, but I have to admit that I have no idea what happens if I check the process box and click process.
Am I missing a module that would create that order emails tab?
