Add Fedex Tracking Link

Hello,

Is there a way to add a Fedex Tracking Link when you manually enter tracking numbers in "Manage Shipments?" Like the Endicia Link?

Once this is done is there a way to have an e-mail sent out with this info or does it automatically go out to the customer once the order is marked as shipped?

Global Settings -> Domain Settings -> Shipping Tracking Links:

http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?language=english&cntry_code=us&tracknumbers=%tracknum%

I think it goes out automatically...

I think that the shipping confirmation uses a token, and the token reflects the link of the Shipping Mehtod used when you fill in the tracking number.

So when you Enter Tracking Number, yoiu pick FedEx from the drop down linst and paste in the tracking number, and then the Token knows to use the FedEx link above (it populates %tracknum% with the number you paste into the tracking number field.)

I use FedEx tracking exactly this way now. As long as you have the setting set to "automatic" in the "Shipment Shipped" Template based email it will send automatically. Once you enter the tracking number, select FedEx from the Link dropdown, check the "shipped" box and then click save, the email will be sent along with tracking number already formatted in a link.
