Fake orders from same IP

Hello all,

We got many fake orders today - from the same IP.

The IP belonged to Google (dont know how they did it) in India.

They all came within 2 - 3 minutes of each other.

Surprisingly the fake orders used the same name - but kept changingthe shipping address - always a company facility.

How do we prevent these from happening, and recognize them?

Did you check the IP via something like http://bgp.he.net to ensure it really is Google? There's been a recent trend amongst these types of criminals and spammers to give their IP addresses <something>.google.com in reverse DNS and add a googlebot user agent or even, but they're not really Google. If it really is Google, I'd report it to them as they generally act fairly quickly on abuse.

Wow, that cannot be real. by the way the guy who placed the orders was MM, and the shipping address was Mountain View and COlorada google facilities.

I still dont feel it is legit. They screwed up my statistics at a minimum.

Yes they placed 26K worth of orders.
All with test credit card numbers - different ones (Visa MC etc.)
All for MM
All going to google facitities.
