eMediaSales Softgoods and Digital Downloads Stopped Working

Out of the blue our eMediaSales Softgoods and Digital Downloads Stopped Working. We have an older version5.024 which is not on the subscription plan. This is pretty serious as most of our orders are downloads. I put in a support ticket at eMediaSales but I am also posting here as it's been confusing in the past with them for support. Maybe they are more organized now I hope. Why they would disconnect a module without notice is of interest and concern. I got a call from one of their tech people months ago that the module was pre-subscription based so no worries but if I did upgrade the subscription would be needed.

When I go to edit a product the EMediaSales Softgoods module is not showing as an option. It used to be there of course.

Liv, since emediasales is under new ownership they improved a lot. BTW They would never disable a module without warning and mainly not a module which isn't under subscription. emediasales is on PT so if it is urgent I can take a free look if there is anything obvious.

Does it still show up under Order Fullfillment/System Extensions/Utilities (can't remember which)?

System Extension is where the license is. Then it should be on the product edit page at the top but it's missing.

The license key isn't valid anymore. Not sure how this could happen. Emediasales will have to take care of this. They should be in any minute.

BTW upgrading to the latest version isn't a bad idea, you get support and all future module updates.

After speaking with EmediaSales it seems that the licencing was with MIVA where I purchased the module from. So the issue is probably with MIVA somehow so I will give them a call.

If the module version is very old, it's possible something with our recent (month or so) license server move affected it. The move was part of rolling out the new Miva apps store (http://apps.miva.com/). If that's what occurred, it sounds like the module was written to cease working if it cannot check in for a certain period of time. We hadn't encountered issues yet though so I can't say if that's what happened; our support folks should be able to dig in.
