Is there a way to control the default sort order in which the products appear when viewing categories on a mobile site? I'd like them to appear alphabetically A-Z by default, but they are currently showing in some unknown order. Customers would need to click on the "Change Sorting" button to fix it now and I'd rather tidy things up on the initial page load to have them sort alphabetically. Can someone in the know please share how to do that?

Re: ? on Weiland's mobile optimization service - default sort on categories
That unknown order is the default order you set in admin for each category. In admin you sort a category A - Z and that is the way it will appear by default in the mobile layout. You could also add the sorting parameter to the category links in your menu. If the variable is nul make a link with the alpha sorting. If the variable is not nul, then leave the link like it is as that was probably selected by the customer in the sort order they wanted to see.Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc

In the Sort Categories and Products Module, click Sort Products > Within All Categories (on 2nd Screen). That did the trick. I never did the 2nd step before when using the module. Learn something new every day :)
The best money I ever spent on my business was purchasing your modules - thanks for all your contributions over the years!Bronson Design Studio, LLC

Re: ? on Weiland's mobile optimization service - default sort on categories
Thanks for the kind words. I wish I was still working with all you nice folks. The journey I am on now is no fun at all. Stage 4 stomach cancer and stage 3 colon cancer requires a lot of rather bad chemicals be put in my body. Many days I get up and wonder what planet I am on. Earlier this week I had to get 2 pints of blood because my blood making system is crashing and one of the tumors is oozing blood all the time. Every time I think about you store owners and how many people have a primary or secondary income aided by Miva and some of my modules, I know it was not all in vain.Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc
