Easy way to create Delivery Confirmation emails

Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere but I was looking via search and couldn't find anything.

We're looking to have an easy way for our site to create and send Delivery Confirmation emails to our customers when the product is delivered. Looking for an automated solution as we can't re-task someone to follow-up with all the different orders we process and ship.

We are currently utilizing Miva 5.5. Are there any modules that we could utilize or settings that we could have our site use to pull confirmation data from USPS and Fedex, feed that into our store front / order processing software of Shipworks and then template send an email to those individuals.

Just to clarify, you mean when the package is actually delivered a final email that says "Hey your package was just delivered"?

Today it would require a custom shipping module, but we have this on our roadmap for sometime in the next 12 months to build in.

Hello, I am Charlene, an associate of Ian Iams. I am working on the issue of ( delivery conformation emails ) with him. I have been keeping up with your and his correspondence via the forum. Wanted to check with you and to see if we decide not to wait for the build in within the next 12 months, and went with a custom shipping module. What all would be in involved, price, time frame, etc.?
