    Can't find export file

This is gona sound like a really dumb question but I just tried the MM5 export function for the first time and I can't figure out where the file is going.

I get this wonderful message telling me....
    303 products exported to 'Merchant5/s01/export/products-bc-test.dat'

When I check the root directory of the CIHost server, I find Merchant5 but no s01 sub folder.

I then dug a little deeper and did find an s01 directory under... Merchant5/5.00/templates/s01 but there was no .dat file in there.

Hummmm... Is this a question for my host or is this a common probem.

    Thanks for the support

I just got off the phone with CIHost and what a suprise, they don't have a clue.

'Any thoughts' would be greatly appreciated.

The export file is stored in your mivadata directory, which is usually above the root on your server.

        Re: Can't find export file

There are two Merchant5 directories on your web site - the script directory which has files like admin.mvc, merchant.mvc, etc, and the data directory which has data files related to your MM5 store. The data directory should be above your public html folder, so if you FTP into your site and you see your web site files, html files, etc, go up the directory tree and see if you can find "mivadata", "htsdata" or "data" directories above the html folder. You should see "Merchant5" in there, along with the export files.

The full path to the export folder should be similar to:

          /mivadata/Merchant5/s01/export

s01 may be a different number if you have more then one store.

Thank you so much for the help, I found it, just had to dip a little deeper.

I'll be switching over to one of you guys when my hosting package runs out with CIHost.

            Thanks for the support
