How to support recurring payments using Payflow Gateway

Hi,

We currently offer (full one-time) credit card and Paypal payments using Paypal Payments Advanced and Payflow Gateway. We want to offer Installment plans where the customer would pay $0 down and then a few equal monthly payments starting after a month. We do not want to store any card information on our server.

Payflow does have an option to set up recurring payments, and there is a documented API for it. I am looking for a way to add the support to Miva (I guess, this would involve changes to the Payflow module??). Anybody have more information or suggestions?

We've done this as a custom module before, or you could use our new MivaPay solution launching in a couple weeks.

Thanks. I did read a little about MivaPay, and it looks like it will be a great system, but I assume this will be specific to version 9 (we can't upgrade to 9 yet). I would be interested in learning more about the custom module though... can you give me more details on that?

You can reach out to our sales team, but the custom module would also be limited to V9.

I don't understand... it sounded like in the past you have made a modification to your Payflow module that supports that feature? Which version was that for, and can we license it? Or do we need to embark on developing this on our own / from scratch?

It's for a Version 9 store, I'm not sure how far back it would work.
