UPS Label Printing

Any update on when the UPS label printing module will be updated. . .so it's no longer java? and so we don't have to use Internet Explorer ?

The old UPS label printing module was discontinued a long time ago and the UPS Ready Tools module has had label printing for a while now.

Yes that is correct, we are using "online tools" however, to print the label requires Java, and fails in many browsers except IE.

Any plans to update the module to not use Java?

We've discussed it internally, the only viable way to access printer drivers via a web browser would be some sort of desktop connector application.

We'll probably have to eventually go that way, but for now Java is it.

Safari also supports Java which is what I use for labels.

When you create a label on UPS.com via chrome it now requires you to install the UPS thermal label printer app. . . is this something that can be updated with MIVA to use the same app?

Doubtful since ours needs to support more than UPS, but we'd have to build something similar.
