Square Payment Method

The documentation for the Square payment method says

Future enhancements will support syncing product data and inventory with your Miva store

.

Just wondering how old this is? Is Miva still planning to syncing product data and inventory? If so any projected timeline?

We don't have a timeline and it's not guaranteed we'll be able to accomplish what we had set out to accomplish. Their API has some fundamental limits that currently prevent us from creating an off the shelf version of this feature set that "would just work", we spent A LOT of time spec'ing this last fall and came to the conclusion it's not ready for prime time.

We do have clients who have done a version of it with custom scripts, so if it's something you need today email me and I'll put you in touch with the right people.
