Does anyone know what will happen to any emails that customers might be sending during this time? I know they are not getting bounceback messages - but will they just be absorbed into cyberspace never to be seen again?

Soul-flower I asked our TAC team to repair the table for you, which should bring your site back up. Anyone else having that issue, please send in a ticket to [email protected] and we can help.

Sorry it took me so late in the day to get this posted, of course this happened while I was boarding a plane to a conference and have been in sessions all day, here's the explanation:

Let me reiterate cpp-dev's thank you for the update.
While downtime like this is never good, it happens. We all know this. But I can say that in the three and a half years that I have been hosting with Miva, this is the first downtime event I've experienced. With my previous host, I was seeing a handful of downtime events each year and I never had transparency into what the root cause was.
So thanks to everyone at Miva for providing such a stable platform, for resolving this issue so quickly, and for communicating transparently about what happened. I have always felt, and continue to feel, trust in Miva and that my business is in good hands with them.Todd Gibson

Coming from a different platform which was plagued with outages, I too have to say that I was very pleased with how this was all handled. This was the first downtime we have ever had on Miva, and our move was in Oct 2018. That's incredibly impressive in it's own right, and I applaud the whole Miva team for keeping things running.
After reading about what caused the outage, I understand more about why the status updates and information was so vague at first, as I'm sure it was not the first place anyone went looking for the root cause.
Cheers to Miva, and here's the next 10 years without downtime :)
Marc
