lesliekirk Yes, that is the main way we need this to function. IF they came from a particular category, that is what needs to be set.
Kent Multer If they come from any other location where the main category isn't known, it could default to their most popular category that we could manually set I guess - sorta like you can set a product to have a canonical category.

So this will require some changes to the breadcrumbs, as well as the handling of categories ... Still, not a huge project. If there are 3-4 users who share the cost, this can be done at quite a reasonable price. You can email or PM me.
