Basket timeout not extending past 1 day

I've updated our store Basket Timeout to 5760 minutes (4 days), however in the browser when I view the mm5-storecode-basketid cookie it shows an expiration date that indicates it'll expire in 1 day instead of 4. It is possible to extend the Basket Timeout past 1 day, correct?

Check the year on that cookie; should be +1 year.

The year on the cookie is the 2020. Why would it be +1 year the expiration should only be 4 days in the future?

Sorry for the late response; I missed the forum notification that you had replied. The first three posts are moderated so it should be clear now.

The setting you'll want to look for in the store is under Domain Settings and in the Timeouts section. You'll find a Shopping Interface Cookie Expiration and Shopping Interface Secure Cookie Expiration; that should allow you to tune the cookie you're referring to.

The basket timeout will only control how long a basket with non-zero contents is allowed to continue to exist when basket cleanup maintenance tasks are being performed, whether manually or via automated scheduled task. If those are not being performed, the baskets will continue to exist past that expiration value, but the table may grow to an undesirable size if other settings are not also put in place, such as deferred baskets to prevent their creation until content is added.
