Google Analytics Tag is not firing

All of a sudden the google analytics tracking is not firing at all. When I check through Google Tag Assistant, it is showing an error like below

An error occured while the tag was fired: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED
Error while sending request: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

This is happening on multiple Miva Merchant Sites.

Any reason why this is happening as I can see the Analytics code in the page view source

Google Tag Assistant Chrome Extension has been historically buggy.

Have you logged in to your Tag Manager account and set to Preview Mode. You can then click though your site and see the Tag Manger in a window pane below.
