Help: Etsy "Update Shipping" Button / Resent 40 Shipment Notifications for OLD orders

After clicking the Update Shipping button today (Marketplaces > Etsy > Listings > Update Shipping) we were shocked to receive a notification that 43 orders had been updated... We actually only had a few orders from Etsy today.

A closer look revealed that a bunch of OLD orders, going back to 2018, had been resent Shipment Notifications from Etsy with their original tracking number, but showing today's date as the shipping date.

The Etsy admin shows the order with it's original shipment date and tracking number, but also with a second shipment record showing today's date and the original tracking number.

I have no idea what might have caused this glitch, but it's resulting in a lot of confused customers, and unfortunately many of those very old tracking numbers no longer display the historic tracking information from years ago.

Has anyone else had similar Etsy glitches today?

Iv never seen this in testing, has anything else weird happened with that account?

Also just to be certain, is this store still on mm9.14? or was it updated to mm10?

The live store is still running on mm9.14.

The issue caused quite a stir with our customers yesterday, and we're pretty nervous about hitting the "update shipping" button again today after filling orders..

We currently use 3 of Miva's marketplace connectors, Etsy, eBay, and Amazon - Etsy is the only one that had that issue.

Can you look at the Etsy Log console and see if any logs exist related to this?

dcarver Our current Etsy Order numbers are in the 131... to 132... range, but you can see in the Log screenshot below that a bunch of old Order numbers are listed with a message of Tracking Information Sent..

We have just discovered a similarity between the orders which had their Shipment Notifications resent. They all appear to be orders where we manually had to change an item, combine two orders, or manually enter a tracking number that didn't automatically get pushed.. we've only gone through about 10 so far, but my guess is that the others will also have similar circumstances..

What would cause these orders to all have their tracking numbers re-sent? Still at a loss as to how to prevent this in the future.
