Can a product image be suppressed from the product page?

Is there a way to suppress a product image of a certain type, from being displayed on the product page? I want one type to be only for the homepage, and not to appear as an alternate image on the product page.

I know I could make it a custom field, which is what I will do if the answer is "no". But I want to know the answer regardless ;)

yes, but you'd have to modify the Product Display Layout Image Machine javascript to do this. i've done it before, but can't remember which site atm :)

Thanks Bruce. Not difficult, but it sure would be nice if we could just click the types we want to appear there! But this will work too.

yea, that an an easier way to order them, as in dynamically so you can always place the images in the order you want.

I tried to suppress the thumbnail by type, but it was throwing an error in the JS console. I just moved it to a custom field instead.
