User Interface > Settings and other thoughts

I'm still pondering this...we've all been so used to having most of the User Interface > Settings at the Page Edit level that it's driving me a bit wonky having to go back to it to find it, instead of being able to click on it while in a Page. Just sort of grumbling out loud about it. Can the Settings tab be added to the Edit Page?

Then while clicking around in the User Interface, I also clicked Customize Your Miva Merchant Template tab - I like how the active tab is underlined, it lets me know where I'm at, but this one was clicked from the "more" list so just the ... is highlighted. At least the breadcrumb let me know where I was.

On the Customize Your Miva Merchant Template screen, are there plans to have the expand/collapse function similar to Settings tab (or the Edit Page)? Maybe I'm a little OCD here, but again it's driving me wonky not have the screens looking the same - sort looks "unfinished" or like an after thought.

I'll probably find more things as I go through trying to integrate a new look & feel. Maybe I should start a new thread call "The Wonky List"

Re: User Interface > Settings and other thoughts

    Hey Leslie -

I agree with you. Not having the Global Header/Footer, Nav, etc available at the page level has been a hard adjustment for me as well. We're working on improving the navigation here. One possible solution is the ability to bookmark a direct link to the sub sections under UI settings. This way you can build your own custom list of all the global items so they are always a single click away no matter where you are.

Regarding the changes to "Customize Your Miva Merchant Template", the functionality in this module is being replaced by new Ready Themes functionality of V9. The module you have will continue to work, but I don't think we have plans to update the look and feel for this module to the new accordion style layout of Version 9.
