Julie - Can you elaborate on this? In the announcement forum you said, "MIVA Small Business is bringing the best features from MIVA Merchant? 5". Is this fast track hosted at Miva?

Re: More info
Hi Bill,
MIVA Merchant Express is a new product, not MIVA Merchant Fast Track, hosted at stores.miva.com.
James talked about it at the conference this year, and we do have a demo of both the admin and the storefront.
You can also find the comparison between MIVA Merchant 5, MIVA Merchant Fast Track and MIVA Merchant Express.
Thanks,Last edited by sartaingerous; 12-06-17, 10:22 AM.

This means you'll be able to buy a MIVA Merchant 5 or Fast Track license for either a one-time fee OR a monthly fee. Same software - different way to pay for it. This helps lower the barrier to entry for those interested in a full retail license who want to "lease" the license and host anywhere they want.

Re: More info
Dear James,
Why were Posts by Vic and myself removed?
Did they violate a Policy of some kind?
Maybe if someone addressed our concerns instead of deleting them it would be better.
I would have sent this to you directly, but it did not give me an option to send you a Private Message or an Email.
But, I think it should be some kind of public discussion about our concerens.

They were moved to the partner forums. This forum is specifically for MIVA Merchant Express Q&A.

Re: More info
Express has a 50 product limit. Can the store owner rotate inventory and keep the level below 50? In other words, delete a product and replace it with a new product to keep the product count the same. Or is the product count cumulative. Once they have added 50 products the ceiling is reached even though they have deleted 40 of the original products?Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc

You can remove products and add products as necessary. It is not cumulative. In addition to adding products to the inventory, we also have a "phantom" button, so that if you have those seasonal items or special one of a kind items, you can create a button that will bring you right to the checkout. Perfect for those who already have a domain and website and just want to offer a product here and there (loke Non-Profits during a fundraiser).

Re: More info
Hi Bill,
You can delete products when you reach the max to add more products. Alternatively, Express also handles "On Demand" products (records not in the products database - similar to your External Product Purchase for MM5) through the Button Studio.
The Button Studio allows you to create "Buy Now" and "Add to Cart" buttons for your static HTML site. The buttons are protected so that prices cannot be altered when the form is submitted too.
Regards,
James
