Glad to hear that the update didn't impact your store. This store relies heavily on PowerSearch. Now I'm trying to remember who did all the heavy lifting type coding. I think I know who did it.

I'm getting an Application Timed Out error here. The ShipStation Integration Script is inactive but the store owner just informed me they do use ShipStation.

Has that day come? I just had a site with very complex Power Search functionalities pretty much quit functioning. Their site pretty much relies on PowerSearch and I'm still not sure that the built-in search can do everything their site needs.

It's possible that some of this could now be rewritten using native Miva search, but the original project was costly and unfortunately I don't currently have the budget to R&D / re-write the customizations (if it's even possible.)

If I could figure out to make these changes myself I would try it.. my available time to experiment with things like this however is very tight. I would like to be on Miva native functionality wherever possible just to get rid of some of the older 3rd party modules I'm still using - but in many cases Miva's solutions end up missing one or two critical features that I use from the modules that I currently have in use.

I am actually using some of Miva' s search features in tandem with the PowerSearch custom features, so I do have faceted search in use as well.
Hmm, I am not able to follow all your reasoning, but I do understand your predicament having been there myself on more than one occasion.

I will take a peak at your site at some time when I have more time on my hands due to curiosity.

Is there a reason while you are still using Power Search vs native solution that has been updated?

I am just wondering what could I possibly be missing out on (pros vs cons)?

SOLVED: With the help of Cory at support I was able to easily fix this problem. I had created a new custom field the other day and mistakenly put a dash in the code rather than an underscore. After changing the code to remove the dash and replace with an underscore the rebuild worked again.

    PowerSearch Error

I just received a fatal error while trying to rebuild my PowerSearch database. I do know that Miva is suggesting migrating all search to native features, but I have a site that relies on PowerSearch for lots of custom functionality so I'm trying to use PowerSearch for just those features if I still can.

I usually use the "Turbo Rebuild" and have not had any problem until this morning. Today the Turbo Rebuild just brought up a white screen without the usual list of rebuilt file messages.

I then tried the rebuild without using the "turbo" option and got a Fatal Error:

    Any suggestions?
