Cloudflare will attempt to copy all common records, but they will not know to look for anything that isn't typical, so it's best to validate each record is correct before updating the domain's name servers.

DNS on Cloudflare
Client is intending to switch to Cloudflare for DNS. The process is saying remove the Miva nameservers from the registrar and add the CF nameservers. Makes sense. Does the DNS records need to be added to Cloudflare or will Cloudflare copy them for the client?
It's been a while since I have done this for a client but don't recall that screen. I've always had to enter the DNS records in Cloudflare first before changing the nameservers at the registrar.
